SUNSHINE
She was sitting there all alone, shunning the storm of thoughts that were tormenting her. She was finding it hard to fight the tornedo of lonliness which had suddenly struck her...
She looked at the sky hoping to get its company; but she realized that it was already preoccupied with the wind. She felt dejected. She watched expectantly at the lustrous green grass, but alas the grass was already engrossed with the playful dew droplets. She felt badly ignored. She glanced at the flowers which she had endearingly planted with her own hands, sure to get a response, but the flowers were lost in the music hummed by the bees. She felt defeated. And as her last effort she authoritatively yelled at Lucy her pet dog, but she realized that Lucy was too engrossed in her meals and had not bothered to respond....
This was her last battle and it was a lost one.
She had completely given up her hopes. Even tears seemed to have rejected her their company. She was lost. She was blank. She was lifeless. She felt as if the whole world had forgotten her.........
The wind became still. The ambiance suddenly felt gloomy and dark!! And then came down the tiny droplets of rain. She was oblivious to the rain. Slowly the downpour turned fierce. She was not in her senses until a drop loudly struck her breaking the silence. The lightining had blinded her and when she opened her eyes she found her gaze fixed onto a puddle. Her eyes peeped into it, and then came an image before them. What image was it??? She tried to concentrate. She felt it to be familiar. Dumbfounded was she when she realized that it was hers! The entity which she had completely forgotten in the battle with the world. She felt to have betrayed it. She felt guilty. At least she started feeling again...
And that was when she made a promise to herself "I would always take care of myself." She realized that 'I' is the one will always be with 'me', no matter who stays and who does not.
The rain had calmed down. The clouds parted and had let the sun rays penetrate them.
The sun shone brightly, illuminating the sky gloriously again...
